How did you end up at Medisol?
I met Anne-Marieke (COO and co-owner of Medisol) at a network meeting. She spoke enthusiastically about Medisol and their need for a relationship manager for the international key accounts. I myself was ready for a new challenge and after a follow-up meeting at Medisol and a meeting with the management team, we decided that I would make the switch. I started in the position of international key accountmanager, but shortly afterwards the position of Territory Manager North became vacant and so I switched to managing the sales teams of the region North (NL, DACH and Nordics). After having done this for two years, I was asked for the position of Sales & Marketing Manager, which I have fulfilled with great pleasure since then.

What does an average day at Medisol look like?
My working day always start with a few short meetings with the team leader of sales and marketing, the management team and the entire company for a quick update. The rest of the day offers a lot of variety. In addition to the daily management of the teams, I often spend time on coordinating projects such as product launches and process improvements. And of course, I like to be available for customer visits. Since Medisol is a fast-growing company, I also regularly hold discussions with potential colleagues. Never a dull moment at Medisol!
What drives you? Why do you do this job?
In general, I really like the mix between strategic issues on the one hand and the fast-paced switching that our profession often entails on the other. Constantly working on improvement and growth, both in the market and in the internal organisation, bringing out the best in people. The fact that we save lives with our AED’s motivates me even more to always go the extra mile.
