How did you end up at Medisol?

I was in need of a new challenge when I saw Medisol’s vacancy looking for a web developer. I applied and after a few interviews, I had a very good impression of Medisol. So, when I got a contract offer, I happily joined the company.

What is your role at Medisol?

Software Developer. My main responsibility is maintaining and improving Medisol’s Service Portal, but when needed, I help my colleagues with other projects as well.

What does an average day at Medisol look like?

I usually check my emails and try to complete some simpler/ quicker tasks before our daily stand-up. During the stand-up, each developer discusses what they’ve worked on the previous day, what they’re going to work on that day and if they need help with anything. Afterwards, I start working on any tickets assigned to me. Usually these relate to improving existing or adding new features, but sometimes there’s a bug that needs fixing. Throughout the day, someone from a different team may run into issues, so I try to help them the best I can.

We also spend some time each day reviewing and testing each other’s code to ensure code quality is as high as possible.

What drives you? Why do you do this job?

I love the problem-solving aspect of Software Development. There’s usually more than one way of solving a specific problem, and exploring these different options in search of the best one is something I enjoy a lot. Beyond that, you never stop learning as a developer so there’s always a sense of self-improvement. Lastly, being able to create something yourself and shape it to how you want it to be is not only a lot of fun but very useful too.
